STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS


  • Check your roster for job time, address, and service notes.

  • Review the approved tasks for the visit (mowing, weeding, pruning, etc.).

  • Ensure you have the correct equipment and PPE:

    • Gloves, enclosed footwear, sun protection

    • Lawn mower, whipper snipper, blower (if required)

  • Check weather conditions and plan accordingly.

If any details are unclear, contact admin before leaving.

  ​ CONTACT US

  • Arrive on time and introduce yourself politely.

  • Confirm you are at the correct address and with the correct client.

  • Ask the client if there are any priority areas to focus on today (within scope).

  • Confirm access to the yard, bins, water, and power (if needed).

  • Complete a quick safety check:

    • Uneven ground

    • Pets

    • Obstacles or trip hazards

  • If the environment appears unsafe, pause and escalate.

     INCIDENT FORM

  • Put on PPE before starting work.

  • Position equipment safely and away from walkways.

  • Confirm task order and time limits for the visit.

  • Begin with priority or high-risk areas (paths, steps, access points).

  • Keep tools and cords clear of walkways at all times.

  • Complete only the tasks approved in the booking.

  • Work methodically and safely:

    • Mow and edge lawns

    • Weed garden beds

    • Light pruning of shrubs and plants

    • Clear leaves and garden debris

  • Sweep or blow paths, steps, and paved areas.

  • Place green waste into appropriate bins.

  • Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times.


If the client requests tasks outside scope, explain you must check with admin first.

  • Turn off and safely store all equipment.

  • Ensure paths, lawns, and outdoor areas are left tidy and safe.

  • Remove tools, cords, and debris from walkways.

  • Ask the client if everything looks okay.

  • Report any hazards, damage, or follow-up needs.

​           RISK AND HAZARD REPORT

  • Secure gates and access points as instructed.

  • Complete job notes:

    • Tasks completed

    • Any issues or client requests

    • Safety concerns

  • Submit photos or forms if required.

  • Notify admin of any incidents or concerns.

Stop work and escalate immediately if you encounter:

  • Unsafe terrain or working-at-heights risks

  • Aggressive animals or unsafe client behavior

  • Equipment malfunction or injury

  • Tasks outside approved scope

  • Severe weather changes
